Olamma Oparah, MFA won Cycle 1, Season 1 of AFP, alongside Colbie Fray Inez, for their 2-minute experimental short film, "The Importance of a House."

After the debut of "The Importance of a House" at ATLFilmParty, the short was displayed in the group show “Sweet/Discord” at Mint Gallery. In an Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC) article, Felicia Feaster describes Oparah and Inez's collection of short films as "the spiritual heart of the exhibition, and its complex blend of transcendence and despair."

Oparah and Inez's creations were also featured in ATLFilmParty x Audio Video Club present "ATLFILMCLUB," in a series called "The Importance of a Black Woman" on March 6th 2023. After the screening of their short films, "Laundry Day," "No One Heals Without Dying," and "The Importance of a House," a Q&A with Oparah was moderated by Jenny B. Gunn, PhD.
